About Rob Chapman
Rob has spent the last twenty years studying Druidry, Wicca, Magic and Celtic Spirituality, he is a Druid of the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids. As part of this he has explored the application of Carl Roger's Person Centred Counselling philosophy within personal and spiritual development work, also qualifying with the British School of Yoga as a Meditation Teacher.
Over the last six years he has facilitated retreats, experiential camps and workshop weekends in England and over in Europe. As well as planning and running the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids Summer/ Winter Solstice rituals in Glastonbury and the summer workshops for two hundred people. He is currently apprenticed to the Peruvian Pachakuti Mesa Tradition under the guidance of Edie Stone, working on a synthesis of the Peruvian shamanic techniques with his own native Celtic spirituality. Over the last 6 years Rob has been joint founder of the Earthworks Community. Through public ritual, discussion groups and other events that the community has grown to cover large area of Britain and is based upon the principles of respect, there are no right answers and that each of us has something of worth to contribute. The community has Pagan/ Druid/ Christian and Atheist members.(click here to join the Earthworks Yahoo Group) Rob believes in the beauty of the individual, yet not to the exclusion of the community. Real transformation, real magic is something that stirs deep within and is something that we go through by ourselves, but when this is approached within a group or as part of a community the collective presence of a group spirit can act as a catalyst for the transformation.
